Hello gorgeous people, apologises for the enormous break I've taken since my last blogpost, but work had literally taken over my life. Now I've got six weeks off, so I've really got no excuses not to get back into it and between you and me, lots of new products have been bought and lots of money has been spent!
Hope you are all well and enjoy discovering what bargains I've picked up lately. To kick things off, I've got for you an online Superdrug haul.
Real Techniques:
I've built up quite a collection of Real Techniques brushes, but always wait until great offers appear until I pick up anymore. It was 3for2 on the Real Techniques range so I didn't hesitate! I already own a Miracle Complexion Sponge, although it is looking a little worse for wear! I've gone from using a brush to apply my liquid foundation and concealers to using this beauty. I also wanted to pick up another to use with my powders. The tip of the sponge is perfectly shaped to allow you to reach into the corners of your under eye, great for applying concealer to hide those late summer nights watching Pretty Little Liars! So the second sponge will be used to set my concealer using my Ben Nye Banana Powder.
I was missing the Setting Brush from my collection and have heard great reviews. I've been using this to remove the excess powder after baking my makeup.
Eylure VegasNay Eyelashes:
Wedding Season is upon us and I was looking for some lashes to purchase. I've never been much of a false eyelash wearer but it's something that I feel completes an eyelook so wanted to perfect my eyelash wearing techniques! Eylure has teamed up with Makeup sensation Vegas Nay to make a range of false lashes. All Eylure products were also 3for2 so I decided to pick up some to start a collection. I went for three different thicknesses of lashes.
This is the eyelook from the first family wedding I attended. I went for a green and blue smokey eye and teamed it up with the boldest lashes; Grand Glamor. The band of the lashes were extremely long and even after I cut them down I still felt that they were too long and therefore felt slightly uncomfortable. Before I wear them again I'll have to cut them down even more to ensure they fit my eyelid better.
The Balm: Mary-Lou Manizer:
All I've heard lately is the love people have for this product and I felt like I also needed to give it my love! I was surprised to see the Superdrug stocked The Balm products as I've not seen them in store but perhaps it's just online? Enough rambling because the conclusion is I too love it. I've used it as a higlighter for the top of my cheekbone, tip of my nose, chin, inner eye corners and under my brows; all the places where I want to glow! It's definitely a must have product for any makeup lover out there.
Stay tuned for more hauls!
