Nail Stamp Kit Haul, Demonstration and Review

Hey Chicks,  hope you are all well and have had a lovely week. I have a little something different for you today. If you're anything like me then you probably love watching nail tutorials on Instagram! All those colours, gorgeous designs and glitter!
I like to think I'm creative but I would never have the patience to sit for hours and do my nails like that myself, and what about when it comes to doing my right hand?! "HELP!"
So I decided to purchase a nail stamping set to get started. I browsed Ebay looking for a cheap set (just incase it all went wrong!) and came across a super cheap set for £3.12 (with free p&p from China) So I bought 2! One set for my sister and one for me.
Each set comes with 5 print plates, a scraper and stamper. You can not choose the designs for your print plates but I was hoping I would get 10 different plates, that was wishful thinking! I received 6 different designs and the other 4 were duplicates.

The six designs plates I received. Each design plate holds 7 individual designs.
You can use your own nail polished for the designs, although from YouTube tutorials I know that using a thicker polish creates the best results.
Yay, first nail done! Let me show how...
First apply a base colour. I used my Yves Rocher Nail polish in Rose (which I received in a previous Glossybox) as I knew it dries quick. I applied 2 coats.
Apply nail polish onto your chosen design.
Using the scraper, scrape the excess polish off the plate. I recommend placing some scrap paper on the surface you are working on,  unless you fancy redecorating your furniture!
Using the stamper,  press onto the design to pick it up.
The stamper is made of a thick rubber material and is great quality.
Quickly press the stamper onto the desired nail and roll to apply the entire design. The rubber material of the stamp allows you to manipulate the design onto your nail carefully and easily. It's also rounded to allow this.
All done! (I'm impressed!)
I then decided to see how the kit would work with a different nail polish brand and colour. As there were only small spaces left on my nail,  I was able to print a single flower from a three flower design by just making sure I only placed the polish on the section I wanted.
I then applied a matte top coat to seal the polish,  although this did make my print bleed out slightly. I'm unsure whether this was my choice of topcoat,  the polish I used for my design or whether this will always happen when applying any top coat....
The four polished I used:
NYC: Wild with Passion
Nails.Inc: Westminster Bridge Matt Topcoat
2True: No. 39
Yves Rocher: Rose

The scraper and stamper.
Overall I was extremely impressed with my nails and I know this will be my new obsession,  whether it's on me or friends and family.
If you're interested in purchasing a set yourself,  I would definitely recommended searching on eBay to get a good deal.
I hope you enjoyed the little something different. (It was extremely tricky taking photos with just one hand!)

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life. :) xxx
