MUA Twelfth Night Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hello wonderful people!
I love affordable, great quality makeup products and I truly believe that just because something comes at a greater expense it doesn't necessarily mean you're getting more for your money. Brands like MUA are great for anyone who uses makeup, whether you're a teenage girl trying out makeup for the first time or a full time professional wearing makeup to make yourself look and feel more presentable every day.
I picked up a few products from the MUA range and will be reviewing them for you in blogs to come. :)

The first item is The Twelfth Night Eyeshadow Palette.
This palette comes with 12 'winter' eyeshadow shades. The eyeshadows can easily be seen through the sleek,  plastic packaging (which is perfect as most of the MUA eyeshadow palettes come in the same packaging) making it easier for you to select your desired palette. There is no mirror inside,  but it does come with a double ended sponge applicator brush (which I always throw away as I prefer to use bristle brushes to apply my makeup.)
Swatches of the top row of shadows. (left to right)
Ice, Myth, Frost, Oudh, Coal, Fir.
All these are shimmers, although the first four shades have much more shimmer and are much creamier in texture.
Swatches of the bottom row shadows. (left to right)
Hush, All Spice, Ivy, Plum, Enchant, Star Shine.
Again all these shades are all shimmer but are more powdery than the first row apart from Star Shine, which is very flaky and I imagine would cause a lot of fall out.

The names of the shades are fantastic and very winter apt! The shadows can easily be blended into each other and would be perfect for creating a smokey eye. They can be lightly applied for an all over colour but also have the ability to be built upon to intensify the colour. Hush is a great highlight colourful for under the brow bone or for the inner corner of the eyes for a bright eyed appearance. My favourite shades are Ivy and Plum, perfect shades for a pop of colour. Coal and Fir are great for everyday looks.
I think this palette is great and at £4 (currently £2 at Superdrug!), it's great value for money. I will definitely be reaching for this palette regularly.

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life. :) xxx
