MUA Winter Sale Haul

Hello lovelies. I have another haul for you today. MUA are currently having a Winter sale, with up to 75% off so I jumped at the chance to grab some bargains!
I spent a total of £12.55 and paid £3.60 for postage.
With each of my three palettes I received a free mascara!

Glamour Nights Palette (£2)
There are some great colours in this palette which are both matte and shimmers.
Swatches:
Going for Gold Palette (£2)
On Friday I used some of shades in this palette to create an eye look and got lots of compliments from colleagues at work! I love the range of shades in this pallete and love how if I need a gold or silver shadow I can always rely on this pallete.
Swatches:
The Artiste Collection Palette (£2)
This palette comes with six marbled matte eyeshadows, two blushers, a contour and highlight powder. The contour colour is too light for me , although it works perfect as a transition colour for my eyes. What would have made this palette even better is if it came with a eye pencil or lip liner, then it would have been a complete face palette. The palette is larger; the same size as the Elysium palette which comes with a dual ended eyeliner, so there is definitely space for one. However, unfortunately it comes with a dual ended sponge applicator, like most of the palettes.
Swatches of eyeshadows:
Swatches of blusher, contour and highlighter:
The three Mega Volume Mascaras in Black (free)
Concealer Cover Up Stick in Light and Medium (30p each)
There isn't much of a difference in the shades and I found these creased when applied under my eyes.
Swatches:
Blusher in Shade 1 & 3 (50p each)
I love MUA blushers and already own quite a few in my collection.
Swatches:
E1 Eyeshadow Brush (£1.95)
This brush is from MUA's Professional line and definitely does own up to that name. It feels soft and sleek, a complete contrast of the brush I purchased from the Makeup Revolution Professional range. This brush is perfect for packing on colour and creating crease cute makeup looks.
Luxe Lip Lacquer in the shade Tranquillity  (£3)
I'm still trying to get to grips with the MUA Lip Lacquers, they seem to crumble on my lip and print when I close my lips, however maybe I'm just to impatient to wait for it to dry! This is a beautiful nude shade and I'm going to keep trying until I can get this laquers to work out for me!
Swatches:
I am incredibly happy with all my products (as long as the lip laquers work out!) and I'm
definitely a fan of MUA products. I ordered this haul from their website, but you can also purchase this brand from your local Superdrug so I would check them out if you haven't already.

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life. :) xxx

Makeup Revolution Haul

Hello gorgeous people! My name is MissHijabiViolet and I am a Makeup addict! Yes I have been shopping again,  however I am not ashamed in admitting it as I grabbed a bundle of Makeup Revolution goodies for a ridiculously low price of £21.92 (£2.95 extra for postage)!
Let's delve into my shopping haul, I warn you they are fantastic products as cheap as chips (maybe even cheaper!)
The 'I❤Makeup' section of the website was having an offer on their 'I Am Palettes'. All four palettes were available for £10 instead of the usual £20, that's £2.50 a palette! Pretty amazing considering you receive 6 eyeshadows (matte and shimmers) and a lipstick for that price. Each set comes individually wrapped (perfect for presents) and comes in a unique style of packaging where the lipstick has a built in space within the compact. Each compact has a great quality mirror and the name of the palette is printed clearly on the front, making it easy to grab the one you need! If you do decide to keep all the palettes for yourself, then there is nothing stopping you from swapping the lipsticks around if desired.
The lipsticks comes in a Barbie pink coloured packaging, matching the colour used on the palette names.
I Am In Love:
Pink and purple shades with a light pink lipstick.
Swatches:
I Am Naked:
Brown and gold shades with a neutral light brown lipstick.
Swatches:
I Am Powerful:
Purple shades with a dark red lipstick.
Swatches:
I Am Sexy:
Purple and grey shades with a bright red lipstick.
Swatches:
Swatches of all the lipsticks included in the 'I am palettes'.
I then picked up three lipsticks from 'I❤Makeup' Lip Geek range. These lipsticks are £1.99 each and come in the bullet shaped packaging similar to Mac lipsticks. These bright pink, shiny lipsticks won't be easily lost! The lipsticks feel quite light but apply to the lips with the same quality as high end lipsticks. I picked up the shades (from left to right): Dare to be Different, Ken will want me (haha) and Totally not Boring. I do have to say, I love the names!
Swatches:
Size comparison to Mac lipsticks. They are the same shape but slightly wider and taller.
I already own two of the £1 Makeup Revolution lipsticks and decided to pick up two more. I went for the colours (from left to right) Make me Tonight and Make it Right in Atomic shades. These apply very sheerly but can be built to an intense colour.
Swatches:
These are all the lipsticks ordered in this haul. I went a bit lipstick cray cray, but I love every shade!
Makeup Revolution have just brought out their new range of Pro makeup brushes. I only picked up one as I didn't like particularly like the look of most of them. This is the Eyeshadow Blending Brush and it was £1.95. I was expecting a fluffy, slightly stiff brush which would help pick up and buff in eyeshadows easily. However I was disappointed in the feel of the brush. It has a coarse texture and feels very cheap, although the brush is less than £2, it's not what I expect from a 'Pro' range. I have yet to try the brush, but just from first impressions, it's not one I would be able to recommend.
The last item I popped into my shopping basket was a liquid concealer. I am forever searching for that perfect under eye concealer that illuminates that area without creasing. I thought I would give this £2 concealer a try and if it didn't work for me I wouldn't have wasted too much money.
I picked up a very light shade (02 fair). I do like the consistency of the product, it is buildable and doesn't get cakey. I will need to try it out a few more times before giving my final verdict on it, but so far, so good.
I I will definitely be purchasing some more Makeup Revolution products and have already got my eye on some of their new matte eyeshadow palettes! I ordered this haul from their website, but you can also purchase this brand from your local Superdrug.

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life. :) xxx

MUA Elysium Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi lovely blog readers. :) This is the second part of my MUA product reviews. Continue reading to see my thoughts and views on the amazing Elysium Eyeshadow Palette (my choice of adjective is a subtle indication of which direction this review is going to go!)

The eyeshadows are encased in the transparent packaging which is typical of MUA palettes,  however this is a slightly thicker palette. The reason for this size increase is to fit the dual ended eyeliner pencil which is included rather than the usual sponge applicator.
In the palette you get ten neutral eyeshadow shades; 4 mattes and 6 shimmers.
Shades from left to right, top to bottom: Air (matte), Cherub, Charm(matte), Refine(matte), Entrance, Adore, Astral, Grace, Smoke(matte), Seraphim.
Swatches of the top row shades.
Swatches of the bottom row shades and eyeliners.
Upon swatching the shadows, I definitely noticed a resemblance between this palette and the Naked 3 palette with its rose-toned shadows. Charm and Refine are dupes for Limit and Nooner; two of my favourite matte shades from the Naked 3, which is great as I know those are the shades I will hit pan on first!
The eyeshadows are extremely pigmentated and like all MUA shadows, have great blendability. The eyeliners go on creamy and are pefect for whatever type of look you are going for; whether it's dark and smokey or light and open eyed.
The range of eyeshadows in this palette lend itself brilliantly for creating day or night time looks or for going from daytime to night time! Just pop it into your handbag and you're good to go! I know I'll be travelling with this a lot and leaving my Naked palettes at home.
This affordable palette is only £6 and one I would recommend to all makeup lovers!

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life. :) xxx
