ELF Haul

So I promised myself that I wouldn't spend anymore money, then what did I do... Order makeup.. and lots of it!! I was 'window shopping' on the Elf website and saw that they were having a whopping 50% off all their products including those on sale and I couldn't resist! I ordered £60 worth of goodies and only paid £30!!
The item I was most looking forward to receiving was the 50pc Makeup Artist Palette. It was originally £15, reduced to £10 in the sale then I got it for half price!! So it was only £5!! :D  I love that it had blushers, bronzers and highlighters. I would have paid just for that! But you also get 40 eyeshadow colours, with a mix of both matte and shimmers. You can take the palletes out, which means you can organise it how you prefer or just carry one palette.
Swatches of the top row of blushers. (Apologies for the lighting!) They feel extremely smooth and have great pigmentation which is build able.
I've always been reluctant to buy eyeshadow from ELF, because I wasn't sure how much colour payoff they would have, they're not amazing, but the best ones are colours I don't have in my collection, perfect!
Swatches of some of the eyeshadow colours (look at that blue!).
I'm in love with the new Moistourising Lipsticks. I picked up 5 which normally retail at £3.75 each (before the 50% off). They are true to their name and are very moisturising but you do need to build up the colour. I also grabbed another lucious liquid lipstick, which was on sale for 75p and I got 50% off again.. So it was practically free!! (This is why I spend too much!)
The colours I purchased were (left to right and top to bottom) Wink Pink, Pink Mink, Ravishing Rose, Party in the Buff and Coral Cutie.
I wanted to get a few of their new brushes but most were out of stock :( So in the end I picked up an Angled Contour Brush and an Angled Eyeliner Brush. I've yet to try out these brushes, but I think the contour brush will be great for contouring the sides of my nose. The brushes were originally £3.75 each.
The next product is an eye starter kit which I got for £4.50. I was drawn to this product because I wanted to try an ELF mascara, I also liked that it had a blending brush (I already have one and love it!). The shades of eyeshadows are perfect for everyday wear and you also get a brown eyeliner in the shade Coffee.
Swatches of the eyeshadows.
I was really disappointed with the mascara. It left my eyelashes very sticky and it was very bizarre as I've never had that happen before. I doubt I'll be purchasing any more mascaras from them.
The eyelashes, eye pencil and mascara.
I already have a Mineral Infused Face Primer in Clear and I love the silky texture of it and thought I would try another one from the range so I picked up the colour Radient Glow Primer which has a peach tint. This set me back a mere £3.00.
I'm always reluctant to order foundations online because I always end up with the wrong shade and ELF are known for not having the greatest colour swatches online. However concealers are easier to adapt to your skin tone, and I saw that this Maximum Coverage Concealer and picked up the colour Tan.
I already have 3 of the ELF blushers in my collection and have now added a fourth with the shade Candid Coral which was originally £3.75.
Swatch of Candid Coral Blusher.
I'm extremely happy with my purchases and I'm glad I got to share my find with my Instagram friends (several whom made orders themselves!) Hope they love their products too :)

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life :) xxx
