ELF Haul

So I promised myself that I wouldn't spend anymore money, then what did I do... Order makeup.. and lots of it!! I was 'window shopping' on the Elf website and saw that they were having a whopping 50% off all their products including those on sale and I couldn't resist! I ordered £60 worth of goodies and only paid £30!!
The item I was most looking forward to receiving was the 50pc Makeup Artist Palette. It was originally £15, reduced to £10 in the sale then I got it for half price!! So it was only £5!! :D  I love that it had blushers, bronzers and highlighters. I would have paid just for that! But you also get 40 eyeshadow colours, with a mix of both matte and shimmers. You can take the palletes out, which means you can organise it how you prefer or just carry one palette.
Swatches of the top row of blushers. (Apologies for the lighting!) They feel extremely smooth and have great pigmentation which is build able.
I've always been reluctant to buy eyeshadow from ELF, because I wasn't sure how much colour payoff they would have, they're not amazing, but the best ones are colours I don't have in my collection, perfect!
Swatches of some of the eyeshadow colours (look at that blue!).
I'm in love with the new Moistourising Lipsticks. I picked up 5 which normally retail at £3.75 each (before the 50% off). They are true to their name and are very moisturising but you do need to build up the colour. I also grabbed another lucious liquid lipstick, which was on sale for 75p and I got 50% off again.. So it was practically free!! (This is why I spend too much!)
The colours I purchased were (left to right and top to bottom) Wink Pink, Pink Mink, Ravishing Rose, Party in the Buff and Coral Cutie.
I wanted to get a few of their new brushes but most were out of stock :( So in the end I picked up an Angled Contour Brush and an Angled Eyeliner Brush. I've yet to try out these brushes, but I think the contour brush will be great for contouring the sides of my nose. The brushes were originally £3.75 each.
The next product is an eye starter kit which I got for £4.50. I was drawn to this product because I wanted to try an ELF mascara, I also liked that it had a blending brush (I already have one and love it!). The shades of eyeshadows are perfect for everyday wear and you also get a brown eyeliner in the shade Coffee.
Swatches of the eyeshadows.
I was really disappointed with the mascara. It left my eyelashes very sticky and it was very bizarre as I've never had that happen before. I doubt I'll be purchasing any more mascaras from them.
The eyelashes, eye pencil and mascara.
I already have a Mineral Infused Face Primer in Clear and I love the silky texture of it and thought I would try another one from the range so I picked up the colour Radient Glow Primer which has a peach tint. This set me back a mere £3.00.
I'm always reluctant to order foundations online because I always end up with the wrong shade and ELF are known for not having the greatest colour swatches online. However concealers are easier to adapt to your skin tone, and I saw that this Maximum Coverage Concealer and picked up the colour Tan.
I already have 3 of the ELF blushers in my collection and have now added a fourth with the shade Candid Coral which was originally £3.75.
Swatch of Candid Coral Blusher.
I'm extremely happy with my purchases and I'm glad I got to share my find with my Instagram friends (several whom made orders themselves!) Hope they love their products too :)

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life :) xxx

February GlossyBox First Impressions

Hey ladies, so it's that time again! I received my email that my Glossybox had been dispatched on Friday and was hoping it would arrive on Saturday and luckily it did! So thumbs up for quick delivery!
This months box was very Valentines day inspired! I think the box is rather cute and it will now stay with my collection of special edition Glossybox boxes!! (They are rather handy for keeping my room both organised and looking trendy!)
The contents was encased in white tissue paper and a pink embossed ribbon. I was actually just on my way out but couldn't leave without checking out my goodies!
At first glance I was vey impressed with the products. I could see a few full sized products with very familiar and popular brands. I also noticed I had 6 products instead of the usual 5! (The Lindt bar was an added extra especially for the romantic month, thanks!)
Maybelline Master: Kajal Khol Liner- My favourite product is the Maybelline Master Kajal Khol Liner. I tried it on my hand and it glides on smoothly and has an intense black colour. I'm looking forward to creating some tradition and dramatic eyeliner looks using this.
Size: Full size product given (13g)
Price: £5.99
Nougat London: Sparkling Body Shimmer- This product is a perfumed body lotion which has lots of beautiful shimmer which leaves a glowing effect on your skin. At first I thought it was just a shower gel and was disappointed, but then got excited once I had read the product card!
Size: Full size product (250ml priced at £14)
Price: A sample size of 100ml was given (worth £5.60)
Cocktail Kiss-This product is the most disappointing. It reminds me of the types of lipglosses that you used to wear in your teens! It looks cheap and had flecks of glitter (some with a green tint!) It was also extremely thick and smelt very sickly! I will have to pass it along to one of my younger cousins!
Size: Full size product given (12ml)
Price: £2.99
Ciate: Sugared Almonds- was surprised to see that I had received a Ciate nail polish in the colour Sugared Almonds. I've heard a lot about this brand but I hadn't brought any as I'm not interested in buying nail polish anymore as I rarely get to wear it because of my prayers. Although I'm a little disappointed in the colour, I always seem to get white/ cream/ nude nail polishes in my boxes and I'd rather get a brighter colour which suits my skin tone more.
Size: Full size product given (13.5ml)
Price: £9.00
Toni&Guy: Limited Edition Stick Up Gum- The next item I received was a hair product. It was a Toni&Guy Limited Edition Stick Up Gum. As a hijabi, this product is a little useless to me, however I'm sure there's someone I can pass it along to! It's always great receiving full size products! :)
Size: Full size product given (90ml)
Price: £7.99
Lindt: Lindor Milk Chocolate- The extra product given was a bar of Lindt Lindor milk chocolate. I had tasted this chocolate before and knew it was to die for! So was pleased to discover it in my box!
Size: Full size product given
Price: 79p

Overall I was pleased with my box this month and Glossybox did well with the quality of their brands (except the lipgloss).
The total with of the box was £32.36, which is a great improvement since last month. I look forward to my March Glossybox!

What did you get in your Glossybox?
Which product would you be excited to receive?

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life :) xxx

Naked 3 Palette Review

Hi girls!
I know you can't see me, but right now I have the biggest grin on my face as I'm (finally) the proud owner of a Naked 3 Palette! I've been wanting to get this for a while but I was having trouble finding it. However a few weekends ago, I popped into Debenhams with my little sister and had to go check the Urban Decay counter, and to my surprise there was 1 left!!! So ofcourse I had to grab it! :)

The pallete in all it's glory! The £37.00 palette comes with a double ended brush and a tester package with all 4 Urban Decay eyeshadow primers.

The cream/ rose tone colours are:
Strange
Dust
Burnout
Limit
Buzz
The gold/ brown shades are:
Trick
Nooner
Liar
Factory
Mugshot
Darkside
Blackheart

Swatches:

The 4 eyeshadow primers included are the Original, Eden, Sin and Anti- aging.

I am loving the colours! I like how there are a mix of matte and shimmer colours which lean towards the rose colours. It is unlike the other 2 palettes, in term of the colours but very similar to the packaging of the Naked 2 Palette.

All 3 palettes with Naked 3 on top, then Naked 2, then the Naked Palette.

Bye lovelies, until next time. Stay happy, healthy and appreciative of life :) xxx
